I read about some exercises you can do where you just get pictures, with no words, and write your own story from the pictures. I ordered this book for those exercises.
From National Geographic - Through the Lens
It's a small, thickish book - the width of your hand all around and about 1 1/2 inch thick. There are some wonderful pictures in here. It's very hard not to read the little blurbs with some of the pictures but try. About 1/2 the pictures don't have blurbs with them, so it's easier with those.
The main idea I came away with was - some of these pictures put me in a different country with different customs - things I would never have thought about in my own little world. Very interesting to work with.
I try to learn something new every day, if possible. I would like to share with you the web sites, books, blogs, and other sources of interest to me. I will try and post as often as I can. I hope you'll stop by and check it out. I trust you'll find something new, fun, and interesting for yourself..

All this month I'll give you elements related to Halloween. As usual, choose at lease three, out of the five, and write something.
- a haunted house
- a ghost floating around
- vampires
- graveyard
