Writing - Research Page of Interest - Pirates

I am working out some details for a book I am trying to write. I may tie in an old pirate to my story and found this reference page. It is really educational and fun to look at. It has an impressive list of pirates in a time line with lots of links to get more information.

Writing - Book and Exercise

I read about some exercises you can do where you just get pictures, with no words, and write your own story from the pictures. I ordered this book for those exercises.

From National Geographic - Through the Lens

It's a small, thickish book - the width of your hand all around and about 1 1/2 inch thick. There are some wonderful pictures in here. It's very hard not to read the little blurbs with some of the pictures but try. About 1/2 the pictures don't have blurbs with them, so it's easier with those.

The main idea I came away with was - some of these pictures put me in a different country with different customs - things I would never have thought about in my own little world. Very interesting to work with.
